Installation and Startup
1. Download and install the WinCC VBS (Variable Simulation) plugin.
2. Open the WinCC software, click on "Options" > "Extension Manager", select "VBS plugin" in the pop-up window, and click the "Install" button to install.
3. After installation, restart the WinCC software.
Creating Variable Simulator Project
1. Open the WinCC software, click on "File" > "New" > "Project" to create a new project.
2. In the project manager, right-click on "Data Record", select "Add" > "Variable".
3. In the pop-up window, enter the variable name, type, address, etc., and click "OK" to create the variable.
Setting Variable Simulator Parameters
1. In the project manager, double-click on the newly created variable to enter the variable's properties setting interface.
2. In the properties setting interface, you can set the initial value, maximum value, minimum value, and other parameters of the variable.
3. Click the "OK" button to save the settings.
Running Variable Simulator
1. In the project manager, right-click on the created variable simulator, select "Run".
2. After the variable simulator starts running, you can see the real-time changes in the variable values on the interface.
Debugging and Testing
1. During the operation of the variable simulator, you can modify the variable parameters to observe the corresponding changes in the WinCC system's screens or reports to verify the system's correctness.
2. If any errors or issues are found in the system, you can debug and identify the root cause in the variable simulator for fixing.
Stopping Variable Simulator
1. In the project manager, right-click on the running variable simulator and select "Stop".
2. After the variable simulator stops, you can check the historical data records for analyzing the system's operation.
By following the above steps, we can use the WinCC Variable Simulator for basic operations and debugging of the WinCC system. In actual projects, we can create multiple variable simulators as needed to achieve more complex testing and debugging functions.
